Child M1 (8 year old female):

Family M: please forgive the lack of personalization. Part of what I have loved about Brunch With A Purpose is using the children's real first names. However, Brunch has grown so much and we're helping some small counties so it would be too obvious to list their real names and I have to protect their confidentiality.

Child M1 was living with her dad and step-mother but she was taken by Social Services and placed into a very loving foster home. There were substance abuse and neglect in the home. The mother is doing really well and spending a lot of time with Child M1. She is hoping that Child M1 will be able to return to her home within the next month or two.
