Nicole (10 years, female) & Desiree (2 years, female)

Nicole and Desiree are sisters. When I asked Nicole's mom to tell a bit about her, she said the following: "Nicole is a very smart artistic little girl that unfortunately has had to have an alcoholic mother a lot of her life.  She is very encouraging when I go to AA.  She always tell me to have a good meeting or asks how my meeting was. She always tells me how proud she is of me. She grew up fast and I'm so proud of the person she has become. She is constantly changing what she wants to be when she grows up but whatever it is, it's always something helpful. She is very loving and affectionate and is a wonderful big sister. I just want her to have a nice Christmas, especially given all that she has been through."  And now, about Desiree-- her mom said, "Little Desiree is a cute little snuggle bug who likes to get into trouble. She loves Sesame Street, or as she calls it, 'Sunny Days.' She loves babies and taking care of them. I can always count on Desiree to give me a big hug and tell me 'I wuv you' and I can also count on her to grab a crayon and try to color on the wall!"
