Scott & Amy

Scott (13) and Amy (12) are siblings that have just entered foster care.  I do not represent them but they were referred to me right before the brunch.  Due to everyone's generous donations, we were able to sponsor them post-brunch but before Christmas.  These two siblings have had a very stressful life full of neglect, abuse and disappointment. Both parents struggle with addictions and these two children have had to find their own way a great deal of the time. They are mature beyond their years!!! Scott had turned to addictive behaviors in order to comfort himself and Amy is angry at the world. Since coming into foster care, Scott has been able to give up his addictive behaviors. Now that he is feeling less stressed and becoming educated about more appropriate coping skills, he is turning his life around!! Amy is beginning to trust adults and finding a softer side to life!! They are enjoying life as children for the first time ever!!!
